confusing connections!!

1.'X' - 1936, as a lotto-like game of chance; many theories about its origin, none satisfying; the most likely is 'X'! as an exclamation of sudden realization or surprise (attested from 1927). Uncertain connection to the slang word for "brandy" (1699); attested as "liquor" in Amer.Eng., 1861

2. 'Y' entered a segment of market mostly dominated by 'Z' with a product one of whose ads had 'a CBI inspector clarifying the difference between the criminal Zango and 'X''

3.'Y' features on the Forbes Global 2000 rankings for 2007 at position 1256. On 24th August 1910, the Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company under the name, Imperial Tobacco Co. of IndiaLtd. The Company manufactured and distributed cigarettes and smoking tobaccos and speciality papers including cigarette tissue papers (Sole manufacturer in the country).
